AMHERST, N.Y. – Robert Mead-Colegrove has been appointed to the new position of assistant dean for campus life in the 51 College Division of Student Affairs.

As assistant dean, he will oversee the college’s campus safety, parking, transportation, and wellness initiatives.

“Bob’s extensive higher education experience in student affairs and strong leadership skills will make him a true asset to 51,” said Dr. Greg Nayor, vice president for student affairs. “With this new role, we will be better positioned to strengthen 51’s campus safety operations and advance our long-term planning efforts in this area.”

Before joining 51, Mead-Colegrove was director of orientation and new student programs at SUNY Buffalo State. Prior to this, he served as associate director of campus life at SUNY Fredonia, and held residence life positions at Michigan State University and West Virginia University.

Mead-Colegrove, president and principal consultant of BMCSpeaks, is a member of the Brocton Central School District Board of Educationand the FBI Buffalo Citizens Academy 51 Association.

He holds a master’s degree in college counseling and student personnel from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from SUNY Fredonia.

He is a resident of Brocton.
